Kritter Gitter Four Pillar Paws
We believe animals hit on the road deserve care and humane treatment.
We can help drivers and communities identify animal related hazards and safely remove them.
We make it simple to report, notify and action.
We enable Kritter Kash to support local animal welfare and charities.
Kritter Gitter is designed to support its mission and vision.
See all active sightings near you in real time. Filter by animal type, distance, status, and time range.
Get notified the moment a sighting is reported near you — so you can be first to help.
Reporters can attach a photo — with optional blur for sensitive content. Removal is distance verified.
Location is confirmed when reporting and again on removal. Get directions to the exact location with ease.
Reporters can tip movers who can donate or deposit Kritter Kash.
Your Kritter Kash donations can go directly to local or national wildlife charities.
When a kritter is reported and you move the animal, any tips offered can be donated or deposited.
"Every animal moved safely off the road removes the hazard, preserves the ecosystem and dignity for the kritters that didn't make it. And we can all be better humans to take care and be aware of the kritters when driving. They live here too."
— The Kritter Gitter Founders
Everything you need to know about Kritter Gitter.
It is our community responsibility — not someone else's problem.
I co-founded Kritter Gitter with my daughters because I saw the problem we have with kritters and road safety. I call it a 'giving back app' that really started idea wise growing up in Nebraska and moving kritters that had been hit with sticks because it just seemed like the right thing to do. And today it still is.
We can make a difference by using modern technology like Kritter Gitter to make it easy to report, notify and move kritters to make for a safer community while also reducing the incidence of the millions of kritters that are hit and thousands of people that are injured. The combination of awareness, data, donation and action can absolutely have that impact.
We are the change we were looking for.
